© Mark Davies Mark Davies has lived in the Clyde Valley since 2000 after completing HND and BA (Hons) degree at Cumbria College of Art & Design. He combines artwork with career in conservation, which provides much inspiration. He concentrates on atmospheric landscapes with an emphasis on changing seasons, light effects and weather. Mark also produces wildlife illustration, countryside interpretation and landscape photography. About this painting Mark writes "Inspired by the end of a tranquil day in the Argyll Hills doing mammal surveys in late october. The wonderful glows of the fading day were illuminating every rock and contour together with the magical way the sky coloured the fast running burn. The painting is acrylic on canvas, 32" x 40" and you can see more of Mark's work at www.landscapes-art.co.uk |
