Mhairi writes - 'I have been drawing and painting all my life, studying formally first at Glasgow College of Commerce then at London College of Art.  I started teaching in 1987.
 
I enjoy working in all media, specialising in charcoal. I choose my subject and my medium as the mood takes me. I enjoy a wide range of themes, often taking inspiration from our beautiful country and it's changing moods. My passion is people.
 
"Solace" is 3’x3’ painted in oil . I love how people interact with each other and their enviroment. This is purely a personal piece and may not be to everyone's taste.'
