George Ormiston makes wooden flutes. This photograph shows a footjoint for a flute, pitched in C, constructed from African Blackwood. The keys and mounting posts are cast in sterling silver and then finished and mounted by hand. This particular flute shows an arrangement of keys, devised in the 19th century, by Theobald Boehm.
