© Lynn Ramsbottom Lynn writes - 'Hand dyed merino wool is what inspired this bag and the pattern is achieved by drizzling random dyed wool in cascading circles. I love making fastenings that are like tree roots winding themselves round and round to close and secure the bag. The whole bag is 35 cm wide by 45 cm tall with a satchel style shoulder strap and made of pure 100% hand dyed wool. It is made in one piece with no seams a technique perfect for feltmaking.' Lynn is a member of Diverse Fibres, a group of feltmakers who meet at Ferniegair Village hall on a regular basis. The group is holding an exhibition from 19th March in the Cadzow Gallery in Chatelherault Country Park. It will feature wall-hangings, wearables, cushions, bags and even jewellery which reflects the diversity of the medium of wool fibres - felt.
