Poncho woven from handspun Wensleydale fleece  and silk, some of which was dyed with a small mushroom called Cortinarius semisanguineus, found under fairly young pine trees.  The first hanks of yarn simmered in the dye bath gave the red and the second batch of hanks gave the orange.  For details of how the poncho was woven, e-mail  fracad@aol.com .

Marilyn will be taking part in the open day organised by the Edinburgh Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers on 20th May. For more details of that see our noticeboard.
