If it’s not, have a word with your group’s secretary, or contact us yourself. Publicity with us is free. The noticeboard might be useful to you as well. Now, you probably remember that, last month, we trailed the idea of giving everyone the chance to write a bit of seasonal verse – poem-presents from us all to us all on www.clydevalley.net. So easy. Just choose from one of these first lines below and get going! Write four lines or a hundred. It can be thought provoking, seriously beautiful, doggerel, or whatever else you like. Open to all ages - novices or experienced writers. Under your own name, or an assumed one if you are shy. You’ve got to have a go! Here are the first lines. Pick any one:- a) Santa Claus was busy b) Aroon’ the world ‘Auld Lang Syne (or you might prefer A’ roon the world Auld Lang Syne) c) Farewell, goodbye, adieu. Another year But please read ‘Verse for the Festive Season’ on the left side of our home page before you send it. Then you can send it in to the address given there. We do hope you’ll send us something. A bit of response would be a real treat for us all to enjoy with our turkey and stuffing! Best wishes, Joanne and Don
