Hi there from Don and me. Here we are back from our Festive Break with a brand new Showcase, brand new pages and wishing you a Happy New Eleven Months!

The first Showcase of the year features a song from Dave Gibb, a painting from Lorna Murray, a poem from Moira Cullen and a set of baskets made by members of the Upperward Basketmakers. We also have a photograph, taken in India, of a tigress and a short description of tiger tracking, both by Aline Dobbie. They are all there for you to enjoy. Thanks to those contributors this month and to all of those who have already sent in works for future showcases. Keep them coming!

We have introduced a Notice Board this month for announcements which don't fit easily on to our events pages. Please have a look at it and use it as much as you can if you think it is a good way of communicating with the world. You don't even have to be listed on our pages to place a notice on the board. See the guidelines for more details.

We've also added a Links page, listing website addresses not already elsewhere on clydevalley.net. These include local, regional and national arts-related sites which might be of interest.

If you have had difficulty finding our website via search engines, like Google, blame it on the fact that we use 'frames' on our pages. In our view, frames make it easier to find your way around the site (particularly when you are half-way down a long page like an events list) but harder for the search engines to categorise us. On balance we value ease of navigation.

Good wishes from us both.

Joanne and Don
