Hi there from Don and me. We launched our first monthly Showcase in August 2004 so this month's featured works complete one whole year of celebrating and sharing the rich cultural life of the Clyde Valley on this site. Please keep the work coming. We plan to be around for a few years yet! July Showcase features a tryptich, 'Pink Rose' by Eileen Hood , an extract from Fiona Gibson's book 'The Fish Finger Years', a blues number, 'That Special Lovin' Combination' from Andy Munro , a poem 'In praise o' big wimmin' by Robert Hume of Clyde Valley Writers and a photograph of Corpach by Tom Robley of Carluke Camera Club. We're sorry to say that there is no craft feature this month. Many thanks from us to each of these contributors. We try to keep the Events pages relevant by updating them weekly, however we rely on you to check that dates and times are correct. Some clubs and groups will be taking a summer break. If so, please let us know about that for otherwise we will assume that you continue to meet. If you are planning a craft fair, concert or exhibition, please give us that information. The feed back we get is that people look here to find out about these events so it's worth an email to let us know. The same is true of the Noticeboard. With our best wishes to you for the holiday season, Joanne and Don
