Hi there from Don and me. We feature this month a song from Chris Rogers, a short story by Rebecca Philp of Lanark Writers' Circle, a poem by William-John Deerin of Biggar Writers' Group, a set of hand-made fabrics made by members of Handspun, a watercolour landscape by Trudi Breen and a photograph by Alex Miller of Carluke Camera Club. Thanks to those contributors this month and to all of those who have already sent in works for future showcases. Please keep the contributions coming. To encourage more visitors to look at past showcases, we have put a little symbol Our events pages are accurate, as far as we know, to the end of the month, and we will extend them beyond May during the next few days. If the pattern of your group meetings changes as the Springtime advances, please don't forget to let us know so that we can keep up-to-date. Also this it the time for end-of-season exhibitions, shows or concerts, so do please let us pass on your information to others. Remember too to let us know if your group contact information might change if you have an AGM. A final word - it's election time, so here is another little bit of manifesto. You don't have to be a professional or a member of a group to be included in one of our Showcases. You just have to be listed on our pages. Take a look, for example, at the artists and musicians on our site. So, if you are one of the many amateur writers or photographers or videographers going your own individual way, solving your own problems, learning and developing from your own mistakes, you too are part of the cultural richness of the Clyde Valley which this website is trying to reflect. And if you have something of your work which you are proud of and want to share with the world , you can say it through our pages. We look forward to hearing from you. Good wishes from us both. Joanne and Don
