Hi from Don and me, There’s beautiful spring weather outside and the promise of summer is in the air. May bursts in once more with fresh green beech leaves, weddings, AGM’s and election fever. Some roads have been re-surfaced. What does it all mean? Meanwhile at www.clydevalley.net, our dedicated team has assembled the May Showcase of work that has been created here, in the valley of the River Clyde. This month we bring you five offerings: a painting by Veronica Liddell - ‘Tam O’Shanter’s Brig; a photograph of New Lanark by Billy Quigley; a short story - ‘For One Night Only’ by Ian Hunter; a song - ‘Children O’ the Mist’ written and performed by Wullie Ormiston and ‘Reflect upon the Change of Season’ an abstract mirror by Derek Haston. We thank each of them for their contribution this month and also we thank those who have sent in work for future showcases. Keep it going. About May or June, many groups which meet regularly throughout the year take a break for the spring/ summer season. Please let us know of any changes to your meeting times or contact information. In other words, please could you check that your listings and events entries on clydevalley.net are correct? Also, as you know, our ‘Group Meeting Days’ page has changed the way we publicise the clubs and classes meetings to show when and how frequently they meet. If you or your group would also like to continue to show each individual meeting on our ‘Events’ pages, then please send these in to us in a form that we can cut and paste and we will include them there too. We have a mailing list and send out our Newsletters regularly to you and others who are interested. If you know of anyone who you think might like to receive our Newsletters, please check with them, then send us their email addresses so that they can be included in our mail shot. Also, if you do not wish to receive this monthly Newsletter, please let us know and we will remove your name from our list. Best wishes from Joanne and Don
