Hello from Don and me, Outside the window here, the rowan trees’ branches are laden and bending with the weight of their berries. Bright red clusters catch the sunlight among the dark green leaves. It’s been a great summer and now autumn’s nudging in. Thoughts turn to autumn activities, to creative indoor pursuits,............. to www.clydevalley.net. It’s all here for you. Whether you want to enjoy a concert, or an exhibition, or if you feel like developing a new interest, have a look at the many clubs and classes listed on the site. They’ll point you in the right direction. The September Showcase, full of work created in the Clyde Valley, awaits your pleasure. You can enjoy Eunice Clarke’s photograph of Loch Etive, Catherine Rennie’s watercolour 'Snowdrops', Pat Mackenzie’s Three Felt Bags, Chris Roger’s song ‘Spark and Flame ’, William-John Deerin’s short story ‘The Swing’ and Anne Armstrong’s poem ‘Artists at Lanark Loch’. Our thanks go to the photographers who came forward to share their work in Showcase, and to the many non-photographers who sent kind support. The day has been saved! We’ve changed the name our ‘Forum’ to ‘The Craic’ in the hope that you’ll feel like participating in a more Scottish-sounding pastime! Ask for help, ask for opinions, share ideas, write a review........whatever. The space is there for you to use. As usual, please remember to keep us informed about newly-changed contact information and meeting dates of your group. Also please check that the information on the site about you or your group is still correct. Email don@clydevalley.net if any changes need to be made. It’s as easy as that! We would like to present your work on clydevalley.net showcase. Please don’t wait to be asked, just send it to us. Best wishes from us both for your new seasons’ programmes, plans and events. Joanne and Don.
