by Chris Rogers
This track is taken from Chris Rogers' third and latest CD 'Leap of Faith' and it is composed and performed by himself. Chris has described the song as just a statement of personal philosophy - a song about being happy with what you've got and growing old disgracefully - "non illegitimi carborundum", as the Romans might have said! You can find the lyrics at http://www.ngcb.u-net.com/lyrics.html. Leap of Faith is his third album, following on from Ladders and Snakes and Little Red - it's available by mail order from the website www.ngcb.u-net.com/chris.htm, along with an MP3 disc of all 37 of his recorded songs. The track lasts for 3.5 minutes. It is stored in mp3 format and also in ogg vorbis format, each of which will download and play on most computers (Winamp should play both formats. So too should Audacity). Ogg vorbis is similar to mp3 but is thought by many to have better sound quality. The download time may be long (many minutes) over a slow connection and most computers won't begin to play the song until it has downloaded completely. But IT IS WORTH WAITING FOR. Click here to begin the mp3 download or here to begin the ogg vorbis download. You can also listen to a short mp3 extract of around 1 minute or you can listen to an ogg vorbis extract if you prefer. Chris Rogers is a singer-songwriter, originally from North Wales, but now resident in East Kilbride. He also is a member of Kagan and the Lanarkshire Songwriters Group. |
