Biggar Theatre Group

Amateur dramatic group of more than 30 years standing. It holds rehearsals and performances at the Corn Exchange in Biggar. The workshop also has thriving junior (age 7 -12) and youth (age over 12) sections. It also plays host to visiting companies. New people always welcome who can help backstage, front of house, collecting props, set painting, acting, directing and generally participating.

ICE Independent Community Entertainment. ICE is all about providing an opportunity for young and not so young alike to express their talent in a theatrical setting. On stage, front of house, behind the scenes or just being an active part of a huge working team. We want you! - ICE are always looking for new members, please see our contact details for more information.

ICE, as our name suggests, is self funded by memberships, donations and fundraising activity. We are fully constituted and are managed by a committee of young people. Our members are aged 14 and up however, some shows warrant lower ages. Our current membership numbers around 50, 95% of which are under 21.

To date, we have produced five full scale musicals with over 300 people attending each. Audiences are increasing more and more each year.

Studio 32 Theatre Company

An East Kilbride based amateur theatre company producing around 6 shows a year; one large scale musical in the EK Village Theatre and around 5 plays (with or without music) in the EK Arts Centre. This is a young group with ages from 16-50. Although the majority are in their 30s, so long as you are over 16 you can come along.  Anyone can be in the musical, but you have to audition for the plays.  No auditions are necessary to join the club.
